- Arthur J. Corsner a life long Suffern resident passed away February 12, 2013 at the age of 94. Born June 5, 1918 in Suffern NY to James and Laura Corsner. Arthur was a Army Veteran of WW II and a Life member and Assistant Chief of the Suffern Fire Department, also a member of the American Legion in Suffern, and also the Suffern, Hillburn and Clark seniors, always singing God Bless America at the end of the meetings. He was retired from Precision Shapes in Suffern NY. He is survived by his wife Philomena (DeJoie) of 71 years, 2 children, James and his wife Jean of Seneca Falls, NY, and Mary Jane and her husband Richard Hallahan of Malvern, PA, 4 grandchildren, Troy, Bryce, Michael, and Matthew, and 10 great grandchildren, Kaitlin, Daril, Kenneth, Derek, Julia, Nicholas, Thomas, Anna, Joshua, and Samuel, and 1 great great grandchild, David. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM at Sacred heart Church in Suffern NY burial will follow at St. Anthony?s Cemetery in Nanuet, NY. Friends may call on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Scarr Funeral Home Inc Route 202 Suffern.
