Fairport: Passed away March 10, 2009 at home, age 89. He is survived by his wife, Betsy Bell Bluhm; 5 children, George C., Christina (Edward) Steve, Thelma Bluhm Joy, John O., Janice (Tyson) Blue; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He graduated cum laude from Syracuse University. He served a as pilot in WWII, flying 65 missions over Europe and was awarded the Purple Heart. After the war, he became President of the Parkside Dairy in East Rochester.
At George's request there will be no calling hours. Burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia at a time to be determined.
