Gidney Wood lived near Willow Hollow. He married Philena Stanton, born in 1778, died Feby. 16th, 1850. Their only child was Capt. Isaac Wood, who was married to Harriet Cropsey by Rev. James Christy, Oct. 10, 1821, at Little Britain, Orange county, N.Y., in presence of Henry Cropsey and Esther Gillespie. He resided on a farm of 196 acres north of the turnpike. He died in Michigan. His widow married Jonathan Belknap, jr., who was born June 13, 1759, and died Oct. 29, 1814.
Jonathan Belknap, jr., and Philena Wood Belknap are buried in the Belknap burying ground on Silver Stream avenue, near the Newburgh and Cochecton turnpike. In the southwest corner of the same ground are the unmarked graves of Capt. Isaac Wood, Harriett Cropsey Wood and Julia Cropsey.
