 | 1911 George Furman death in Stafford NY Sat 21 Jan 1911
nephew George Furman died in Stafford NY
...
Of the seven sons and two daughters born to this couple [Isaac Furman and Mary Gurnee], five of the sons decided to seek their fortunes in the New West, as western New York was then called. They resided in the town of Farmington, for about a year. Then three of the brothers, Benjamin, William and Rhoades [Furman], decided to locate in the town of Perinton, about three miles from the present village of Fairport. There they each cleared and settled large tracts of land and the road is still known as the Furman road, although but two members of the family now live there, O. B. and William Furman, grandsons of the late [brother] Benjamin Furman.
